This policy explains what personal information Titan Keyboards collects, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the emails we send.
"Titan Keyboards", "we" and "us" mean Titan Keyboards LLC. You can reach us about privacy at [email protected].
What we collect
What you give us. When you sign up for launch news or the waitlist, we collect:
- your email address;
- the board you vote for, the boards you're interested in and how soon you'd buy, if you tell us.
Proof of your consent. Each time you sign up, we record what you agreed to so we can show it later if we're asked to. That record contains your email address, the exact wording you were shown, which version of this policy and our Terms of Use applied, the date and time, the page you signed up on, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string.
Technical data. Like most websites, our servers keep short-lived logs of requests (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) to keep the site running and secure.
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't track you across other websites. If that changes, we'll update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Why we use it
| Purpose | Information | Legal basis (where GDPR or UK GDPR applies) |
|---|---|---|
| Emailing you about launches, new boards and the waitlist | Email address, votes and interests | Your consent |
| Deciding which boards to make next | Votes and interests, counted in aggregate | Our legitimate interest in planning products |
| Proving you consented, and handling requests about your data | Consent records | Our legal obligations, and our legitimate interest in defending legal claims |
| Keeping the site secure and working | Technical data | Our legitimate interest in running a secure website |
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who we share it with
We host this website and our database on servers we control. We share personal information only with service providers who help us run Titan Keyboards, under contracts that limit what they can do with it:
- an email delivery provider, to send the emails you asked for;
- our internet and infrastructure providers, who carry traffic to our servers.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of selling or reorganizing the business (in which case this policy continues to apply).
Some of our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Email address, votes and interests: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Consent records: for as long as we need to show that we had your consent, and no longer than six years after you unsubscribe. We keep a record of your unsubscribe for the same period, so we don't email you again by mistake.
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
Your choices and rights
Unsubscribe any time. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, or you can email [email protected]. Unsubscribing doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew consent.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct it or delete it;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- receive it in a portable format;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We don't sell or share personal information. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.
To make a request, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we'll reply within the time the law allows (usually 30 days).
Children
This site isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We protect personal information with access controls, encrypted connections and limited access to our systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we'll tell you and the relevant authorities about a breach where the law requires it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we publish the new version here with a new version date. We keep every earlier version, and each consent record points to the version you saw. If a change materially affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll email you before it takes effect.
